The De Sisti family of daylight discharge softlights ranges from the compact and lightweight 575W to the high efficiency 2.5kW SOFT. These soft, virtually shadowless lights feature stackable egg-crates and interchangeable reflectors.
The light from a small source must, at best, be ‘softened-off’ rather than truly diffuse. In practice, any fixture emitting light from an area smaller than about a square meter is going to cast a perceptible shadow of a person onto a nearby background. The solution is to use a series of soft-light sources, so that they illuminate and dilute each other’s shadows.
All of the lights (575W, 1.2 / 2.5 kW) have two power cut-off switches which sense the breakage or removal of the safety glass and the status of the hinged front door to the lamp compartment. Relamping or lamp substitution may be done after all accessories have already been mounted. Size: Desisti 1.2kW SOFT = 502x404x302mm
