Junior Accountant - Woodland Hills, CA

Entry level General Ledger Accounting and Analysis for the US Camera Division of Panavision Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Prepare monthly journal entries for general ledger monthly close.
•    Prepare and submit monthly reports for General Managers of US branches.
•    Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations on monthly basis.
•    Prepare monthly sales tax filings, prepare for sales tax audits as necessary.
•    Maintain intercompany A/R schedules and reconciliations with domestic and international entities. 
•    Prepare monthly bank reconciliations by gathering and balancing information. 
•    Assist in analyzing monthly accruals. 
•    Corrects errors by preparing adjusting journal entries. 
•    Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation, as requested. 
•    Prepare account analysis (Budget vs Actual) and other month-end reports.
•    New vendor set up. 
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Skills/Experience Required:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
•    2-5 years of related experience.

•    Ability to prepare basic financial statements. 
•    Exposure to ERP systems, including Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Great Plains a plus.
•    Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
•    Ability to analyze accounts, understand and explain financial data.
•    Ability to multi-task and shift priorities where necessary.
•    Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. 
•    Good verbal and written communication skills. 
•    Ability to meet deadlines. 
•    Strong attention to detail, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of data.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Prompt and regular attendance is required, employees are expected to begin work at the start of their scheduled shift and to complete their assigned work shift according to the responsibilities of their position.

This position works standard business hours, but may require long hours and some weekend work.

Travel:

Some out-of-state/country and overnight travel may be expected.
